I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
