Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Police mentioned they were alerted by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement state they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The liquid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered many other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say initial examinations show the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; officials are not yet aware of any harm in relation with the event," they stated.

City officials stated they were working "to resolve the case" and have asked to the residents for details.

A high-ranking representative stated the attack rendered him speechless and had to be solved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the extremist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, referring to the killing of nine people by a gunman aiming at residents of migrant background in 2020.
